Tuesday Night 2-Man Match Play League Rules
1USGA Rule #2 - Match Play
A.The League will use Handicapped Match Play as governed by USGA Rule #2, unless otherwise modified below.
B.Matches will be 9 Holes
2Handicap: 
A.A Players League Handicap will be 80% of his USGA Handicap at the begining of each League month
B.The difference between two players' handicaps is the number of strokes given by one player to another. For our matches,  Strokes given will be calculated off the lowest handicap and are taken at different holes according to the Stroke Index or Rating of each hole on the course.
3Match Play Format  - Points  
A.TEAM POINTS are awarded, on each hole, to the team with the lowest best ball net score. There are two points available per hole. If a team won every hole they would receive 18 points. In case of a tie, the teams' will receive one (1) point each.
B.The team with the most holes won will receive four (4) MATCH POINTS for the match. In case of a tie, each team will receive two (2) points.
C.Putts may be conceded

5FORFEIT RULE.
A.A forfeit occurs when BOTH members of a team fail to appear for their match  or fails to make arrangements for a make-up match with their opponents. 
6MAKE-UP MATCHES.
A.There is no penalty for playing or scheduling a make-up match prior to the next league scheduled date.
7SUBSTITUTE RULE.
A.Securing a Sub is the responsibility of the absent league member or his partner. Subs handicaps are calculated using the same method as regular league members.
8DISPUTES / RULES COMMITTEE DECISIONS
A.The rules committee can make league and local rules pertaining to league play at anytime including but not limited to matters which affect points, standings, rule interpretation, etc. All league disputes, violations, and penalties, are subject to review by the Rules Committee. The committee may consult any outside party including but not limited to the parties involved, any witnesses, and/or the head course golf professional. Decisions made by the Rules Committee are final.
9League Entry fee
A.
A fee of $25 is due on the first night of play for all league players and their subs.  For Non-Breton Bay or BBMGA Members, an additonal $30 is required to join the BBMGA.
