| Tuesday Night 2-Man Match Play League Rules |
| 1 | USGA Rule #2 - Match Play |
| A. | The League will use Handicapped Match Play as governed by USGA Rule #2, unless otherwise modified below. |
| B. | Matches will be 9 Holes |
| 2 | Handicap: |
| A. | A Players League Handicap will be 80% of his USGA Handicap at the begginng of each League month |
| B. | The difference between two players' handicaps is the number of strokes given by one player to another. For our matches, Strokes given will be calculated off the lowest handicap and are taken at different holes according to the Stroke Index or Rating of each hole on the course. |
| 3 | Match Play Format - Points |
| A. | TEAM POINTS are awarded, on each hole, to the team with the lowest best ball net score. There are two points available per hole. If a team won every hole they would receive 18 points. In case of a tie, the teams' will receive one (1) point each. |
| B. | The team with the most holes won will receive four (4) MATCH POINTS for the match. In case of a tie, each team will receive two (2) points. |
| C. | Additional Two Points (2) will be awarded to the team having the best differential to their Point Quota. Points Quota's are based on the combind Handicap of the teams players. The Point Differential is calculated by adding the sum of the values of each hole's score minus the team's point quota. Points will be assigned as follows: Double-Bogey or worst - 0; Bogey - 1; Par - 2; Birdie -3; Eagle - 5; and Double Eagle & Hole-in-One - 10. In case of a point differential tie each team will receive one point (1). |
| D. | Putts may be conceded and counts as a Holed shot. |
| E. | In the case of a forfeit, the Winning team will receive 15 Points plus 1 additional point for each Hole the net score is less than par. |
| 4 | Preferred Lies in your own Fairway |
| 5 | FORFEIT RULE. |
| A. | A forfeit occurs when BOTH members of a team fail to appear for their match or fails to make arrangements for a make-up match with their opponents. |
| 6 | MAKE-UP MATCHES. |
| A. | There is no penalty for playing or scheduling a make-up match prior to the next league scheduled date. |
| 7 | SUBSTITUTE RULE. |
| A. | Securing a Sub is the responsibility of the absent league member or his partner. Subs handicaps are calculated using the same method as regular league members. |
| 8 | DISPUTES / RULES COMMITTEE DECISIONS |
| A. | The rules committee can make league and local rules pertaining to league play at anytime including but not limited to matters which affect points, standings, rule interpretation, etc. All league disputes, violations, and penalties, are subject to review by the Rules Committee. The committee may consult any outside party including but not limited to the parties involved, any witnesses, and/or the head course golf professional. Decisions made by the Rules Committee are final. |
| 9 | League Entry fee |
| A. | A fee of $30 is due on the first night of play for all league players and their subs. For Non-Breton Bay or BBMGA Members, an additonal $30 is required to join the BBMGA. |
| 10 | Play-Off Seeding |
| A. | Seeding for the play-offs will be done by ranking teams from both divisions by their overall point totals. In case of ties, the following tie-breakers will be used in the order list |
